      <image:caption>I am a New York-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience working with populations in Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. My work as a psychotherapist has put me in elementary schools, pediatric inpatient psychiatric units, psychiatric emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and college counseling offices. I have helped those suffering from depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, low self-esteem, grief, and trauma. So many of my clients tell me that they simply feel lost and disconnected from the the life they want. Together we work to identify what is causing the pain, sadness, or numbness, and how we can replace unhealthy patterns of behavior with more fulfilling decisions. Outside of being therapist, I love cultivating all the different pieces that create my whole identity. I’m a wife, a mom, and self-proclaimed introvert. In my free time I enjoy reading, drinking way too much coffee, and doing CrossFit to stay active. It is my personal experience that we are happiest when we are able to balance our different identities.       <image:caption>I fully believe that to make sustainable changes and progress, the therapeutic work needs to consider the complete person. That means talking about your mental, emotional, and physical systems. It is impossible to separate our mind from our body and still expect to feel our best. I tend to take a more holistic approach with clients to fully understand the complete picture. We might look at eating habits, water intake, sleep patterns, and talk about how we can improve specific areas to help you feel your best mentally and physically. Just as no two people are the same, no two therapeutic approaches should be exactly the same. After a few sessions of getting to know each other, we can start figuring out what interventions would be most helpful for you. Some clients prefer the more structured approach of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to manage their depression or anxiety, others find that the psychodynamic techniques of traditional “talk therapy” are more helpful. My personal toolbox includes elements from a variety of modalities, but I am particularly drawn to Acceptance &amp; Committee Therapy (ACT). I am also a strong advocate of using journal writing for self-exploration and healing, as the science behind is undeniable. Using this framework, we can create a tailored approach for you.</image:caption>
